After replacing the plugs, with AC Delcos, and with new plug wires, i am getting a P0300 that will not go away. The old plugs were severely worn with the middle electrode almost completely gone.

I have been trying to find a resolution to the random misfire code p0300. When replacing plugs and wires - approx 3-4months ago - I noticed the threads were black, like oil was on them - I just thought of this while I was cleaning my garage and found the old plugs.

I cannot find a DIY process to replace the plug tube gaskets/seals. I am going to replace the valve cover gaskets, but want to do the plug tube seals too.

Hello all, I replaced the plugs/wires on my 5.3 as it was stumbling sometimes at idle with the AC on. After replacing the plugs, with AC Delcos, and with new plug wires, i am getting a P0300 that will not go away.

All similar circumstances, but only the one time I noticed the engine light coming on/flashing. Other possibly related symptoms: Occasional rough idle.

I have a 2020 Tahoe LT, 5.3 Flexfuel, 110,000 miles. It has a stored P0300 code.

@MalcDogg Might be worth installing some of your old parts but a p0300 code is for a random misfire, it looks like your emission monitor for the o2 sensors isn't set yet so that could indicate a problem with the cats or O2 sensors.
