Changed a p0131 to a p0171 I recently changed my Mass Airflow Sensor in my 2008 cry because I had a code p0113, now that the new sensor is in, im getting a p0171.

I recently changed my Mass Airflow Sensor in my 2008 cry because I had a code p0113, now that the new sensor is in, im getting a p0171. I read that the new sensor might not be calibrated with the ECM and that disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes might fix it, but i dont know how true that is.

Doing research online I found that this is often the VTEC solenoid. I replaced this, cleared the code, and after about 30 mins of driving it came back (and goes into limp mode with a triangle/VSA light as well).

I replaced this, cleared the code, and after about 30 mins of driving it came back (and goes into limp mode with a triangle/VSA light as well). I am selling the car for my mom, and trying to figure out if there is another more inexpensive thing to try, or if I should just take a drastically lower price to sell as is.

When it warms up its completely fine. I know this issue is usually oil and VTC related, already replaced gasket and screen on VTC Solenoid/Spool valve and VVT front filter.

I know this issue is usually oil and VTC related, already replaced gasket and screen on VTC Solenoid/Spool valve and VVT front filter. Cleaned contacts on spool valve connectors and they look good, brand new oem oil filter and full synthetic 5w-30.
