Hey all, I have an 08' Fit with 160,000 miles and a manual transmission. She's been been acting funny for the past few weeks, so my mechanic suggested a valve adjustment based on the symptoms and felt a dealership would better serve me.

The belt made a noise afterwards but finally went away after awhile. 300 miles and a week later, she throws the P0420 code. I was already going to take her back to the dealership to get her re-checked but they're saying that the issues are completely unrelated.

It's "always" been my experience that a p0420 code is indeed a failed catalytic converter. I've always replaced O2 sensors (upstream and downstream) and have never had it fix a p0420 code.

I didn't feel anything wrong with the car at all... The thing is I've been using Chevron gas supposedly with techron (except for the last few months, mostly Marathon gas with Walmart-bought techron mixed in) ever since I got this car and it looked like it didn't help prolonging the life of the fuel injectors at all...

The P0420 code is probably related to the fuel injector code. U3006-16 is an error code from the ABS unit, complaining about low input (battery) voltage.

For P219A, you could try running a few bottles of injector cleaner through it (Techron actually works) but you may need new fuel injectors. The P0420 code is probably related to the fuel injector code.
