What is P0304?

P0304 indicates a misfire specifically in cylinder 4, meaning that cylinder is not firing properly or at all. Symptoms:

  • Engine runs rough or shakes noticeably (owners describe rough running and vibrations)
  • Check Engine Light flashes or is illuminated (implied by diagnostic trouble code triggering)
  • Loss of power or engine going into 'limp mode' (reported in Honda Accord cases)

It is the factory original wiring as far as I know. (Where does the wire from the coil end up at on the non coil end? My luck behind the motor on the firewall.) Everything appears to be OK since I was all over the top of the motor replacing all the coils.

I got a pretty cheap 2001 Tacoma with the 3.4l V6 with 232k on it about a month ago. When I got it, it had a rough idle, and three codes on it P0441, P0450, and P1135.

When I got it, it had a rough idle, and three codes on it P0441, P0450, and P1135. I replaced the front bank O2 sensor, and the Fuel Tank Pressure sensor and cleared the codes and all was good.

Hi all, 2002 2.7 Auto with approximately 105k miles. Sine ownership around 85k miles I have always used Shell gas as I've been told to use top tier gas.

Sine ownership around 85k miles I have always used Shell gas as I've been told to use top tier gas. Noticed I had a little rough idle at stop lights while in drive, but when put in park the vehicle would idle fine.
